THE ROLE

Sanjhi Sikhiya is looking for a passionate and creative Programme Design Manager to lead the evolution of our flagship Punjab Youth Leaders Program (PYLP). The ideal candidate brings a design thinking lens, field experience in education or social impact, and a commitment to co-creating programmes that are rooted in community connection and contextual learning. This role will involve end-to-end design, implementation collaboration, and continuous improvement of the fellowship model in close partnership with internal teams and local stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Fellowship Design & Strategy

  • Conduct field research and needs assessments to identify opportunities for youth leadership development.
  • Review and enhance existing fellowship design to ensure contextual relevance and responsiveness to feedback.
  • Develop scalable, evidence-informed programme components that reflect local realities and align with Sanjhi Sikhiya’s mission.
  • Co-create culturally relevant, engaging learning modules for fellows.
  • Build and maintain strong monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems to assess programme effectiveness.
  • Translate on-ground insights into tools, frameworks, and processes that strengthen the programme.

Programme Implementation & Coordination

  • Collaborate with district managers to implement fellowship activities across locations, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Track fellowship milestones, troubleshoot issues, and provide implementation support to field teams.
  • Document programme activities, lessons, and outcomes through high-quality internal and external reports.
  • Share success stories from fellows and their communities with relevant stakeholders.

Alumni Engagement & System Integration

  • Design and manage alumni engagement strategies that sustain fellows’ leadership journeys beyond the programme.
  • Support outgoing cohorts in building professional networks and identifying post-fellowship opportunities.
  • Work with government systems and stakeholders to ensure alignment and long-term ownership of youth-led work.



What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience designing or managing education or social impact programmes.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to convert field insights into scalable and actionable programme interventions.
  • Experience working across teams, with communities, and alongside government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with MEL frameworks and programme evaluation tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Punjab and work in a dynamic, field-oriented setup.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience with human-centered design, behavior science, or systems thinking.
  • Exposure to working within rural education systems or public institutions.
  • Ability to create tools, communication material, or program documents for varied audiences.
  • Proficiency in Punjabi (reading and writing) is a strong advantage.
